What you'll do...
We will meet at a designated spot around 9:00 AM and head south on the highway for an hour to Altavista, Nayarit. Along the way, we can stop in one of the charming towns for a cup of coffee and visit local vendors for coconut water, yak fruit, traditional snacks, or souvenirs. From there, we’ll immerse ourselves in the jungle, walking about an hour to the entrance of the sanctuary. Along the way, we’ll cross a small river and pass by fruit fields and lush vegetation.
Once at the sanctuary entrance, I’ll provide an explanation of the surroundings and the archaeological site. After that, I’ll let the place speak for itself—unique, sacred, and magical, it’s nature at its best, timeless and full of surprises for anyone open to its energy. We’ll walk through the jungle to the "Pila del Rey," a natural rock formation, where we can swim, relax, and refresh. On the way, we’ll pass engraved rocks, sacred sites, and places of offerings, still revered by the local indigenous communities.
We’ll stay at the site as long as we like, meditating, swimming, and relaxing before heading back at our own pace.
On the way, we’ll stop at local vendors to enjoy natural refreshments from the area, including coconut water, homemade banana bread, yak fruit, and tamarind and coconut candies. We’ll visit "Santuario del Rey," a sacred site of the indigenous Wirrarika (Huichol) people, dating back over 2,000 years, where we can swim and unwind. On our way back, if you’d like, we can stop at one of the local beachfront restaurants for a meal.

What an amazing time! Just a short ride from Sayulita and you are on a beautiful hike full of ancient wonders and cultural traditions. Juan was very knowledgeable and kind. The pools were refreshing and you could see why historically this is such an important place. I’m so glad we went! It’s a perfect way to spend a day.

Amazing experience, if you wanna connect with a sacred place as well as go with a great guide who is connected to himself and the land. Definitely a different experience from everything offered around Sayulita/San Pancho/Puerto Vallarta
